This day, dedicated to Geneva’s innovation ecosystem, brings together all the key local support organisations: Genilem, FONGIT, FAE, PULSE, FONDETEC, OPI, UNITEC (University of Geneva), with the support of the Cantonal Office for Economic Development and Innovation. Expect hands-on advice, inspiring talks, and a wealth of practical resources to help turn bright ideas into strong projects: funding, pitching, taking your idea to reality… Everything you need to take the plunge into the entrepreneurial adventure with confidence! Don’t miss the 4:30 p.m. highlight! An international roundtable will bring together speakers from China, Saudi Arabia, Senegal and Switzerland to tackle the question: “Where is innovation fostered today?” A first on the Swiss pavilion stage, reaffirming the Exhibition’s role as a global dialogue platform on the innovation challenges of tomorrow. Top picks for Thursday 10 April Patents, clusters and comets: a second day celebrating diversity At the Swiss innovation pavilion Western Switzerland takes the spotlight with the presence of four key clusters supporting innovative businesses: BioAlps, the life sciences cluster of Western Switzerland, helps build strong networks and strengthens the Swiss Health community. CleantechAlps promotes Western Switzerland as a center of excellence in sustainable technologies. Micronarc is the regional platform dedicated to micro- and nanotechnologies, connecting academic and industrial stakeholders. Alp ICT is the reference actor for digital technologies and SME digital transformation, supported by the cantons and SECO. At 11:00 a.m., a conference (in English) will offer insights into the specific features of the Swiss cleantech sector. Starting at 2:00 p.m., the start-ups hosted by the four clusters at the pavilion will take the stage to pitch their innovations. Energy, ideas, and projects you’ll want to keep an eye At the European Space Agency (ESA) booth ESA continues its cosmic journey with a series of talks highlighting the latest developments in space research. The Agency will present “40 Years of Space Innovation” (in English), followed by a session on artificial intelligence for planetary science, and a final presentation in French on comets and their mysteries. Discover the full agenda At the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) booth WIPO, a specialized UN agency based in Geneva, supports inventors, entrepreneurs and companies in protecting their intellectual property rights internationally.
