Patents, clusters and comets: a second day celebrating diversity
At the Swiss innovation pavilion
Western Switzerland takes the spotlight with the presence of four key clusters supporting innovative businesses:
- BioAlps, the life sciences cluster of Western Switzerland, helps build strong networks and strengthens the Swiss Health community.
- CleantechAlps promotes Western Switzerland as a center of excellence in sustainable technologies.
- Micronarc is the regional platform dedicated to micro- and nanotechnologies, connecting academic and industrial stakeholders.
- Alp ICT is the reference actor for digital technologies and SME digital transformation, supported by the cantons and SECO.
At 11:00 a.m., a conference (in English) will offer insights into the specific features of the Swiss cleantech sector. Starting at 2:00 p.m., the start-ups hosted by the four clusters at the pavilion will take the stage to pitch their innovations. Energy, ideas, and projects you’ll want to keep an eye
At the European Space Agency (ESA) booth
ESA continues its cosmic journey with a series of talks highlighting the latest developments in space research. The Agency will present “40 Years of Space Innovation” (in English), followed by a session on artificial intelligence for planetary science, and a final presentation in French on comets and their mysteries.
At the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) booth
WIPO, a specialized UN agency based in Geneva, supports inventors, entrepreneurs and companies in protecting their intellectual property rights internationally. Several conferences will help creators and innovators find answers to their IP-related questions:
- 10:30–11:00 a.m. (English): Protect your designs with the Hague System. One application, protection in nearly 100 countries. Less admin, more impact.
- 11:00–11:30 a.m. (English): The PCT for start-ups and universities. A system that simplifies patent protection around the world.
- 11:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m. (English): Your brand on the global stage with the Madrid System. How to secure your name, logo or visual identity in multiple markets with a single application?
- 3:00–4:00 p.m. (French): Discover the PCT – the international patent system. A practical overview of how to protect your inventions globally, step by step.
The Exhibition is also thinking of its youngest visitors, with a programme of fun and inspiring activities.
