A Swiss pavilion to reflect Switzerland's innovative dynamism

On the occasion of its 50th edition, from April 9 to 13 at Palexpo, the International Exhibition of Inventions Geneva will present a Swiss innovation pavilion featuring players from the Swiss ecosystem. Institutions, universities, start-ups and SMEs from the region will offer a varied programme, combining tailor-made advice, conferences and networking. Each day of the Exhibition will focus on a theme related to innovation.

On the programme

The pillars of innovation in Switzerland 

Four major players will be present: Switzerland Global Enterprise (S-GE), University of Geneva – UNITEC, Switzerland Innovation Park West EPFL and The mission of EPFL’s Science Outreach Department.

3pm – A comparative review of the ressources and tools used by technology transfer offices to support the commercialisation of their inventions.

Focus on strategic technologies 

BioAlps (life sciences), CleantechAlps (renewable energies and sustainability), Alp ICT (information and communication technologies) and Micronarc (microtechnology), will be accompanied by a number of start-ups.

11am – Mapping the Swiss sustainability ecosystem and segmenting cleantech start-ups.

2pm – Pitch: 10 minutes to convince.

A day dedicated to entrepreneurship in Geneva

Several conferences will address financing, pitching and entrepreneurial development: 

9:30am – Welcome and official speech.

10am – How to finance my business in Geneva? The different types of finance and the organisations available.

11am – How to go beyond a simple idea?

2:15pm – An efficient pitch to convince your investors.

3pm – Funding your innovation projects in Geneva.

4:30pm – Where is innovation fostered today?

Spotlight on research and start-ups with the Fondation Campus Biotech Geneva, EPFL’s Science Outreach Department, the CERN and Le Temps.

Saturday at 2pm – Is AI capable of driving innovation? (Club of Romanian entrepreneurs in Switzerland)
